I came to the United State from Ethiopia in 1971 with an exchange program called American Field Service. I stayed with the Donald Family and attended Woodland High 140 miles south of Seattle.
In 1974, with the help of my American Family, I was able to come back to the United States and continue with my education at Clark College in Vancouver, Washington and the University of Washington. I graduated with BA in Economics from the U of W, and started working for Brittania Sportswear, a local clothing company. When Levi Strauss & company bought out Brittania Sportwear I was promoted to Distribution Center Assistant Manager. The last four years working at Levi I worked as an Account Coordinator for Major & Regional accounts until Levi sold the division.
Armed with the background and the skills acquired at Brittania/Levi, managing and supervising different types of people, coupled with my experience handling multiple tasks at the same time, I ventured into real estate. My journey in real estate has been exciting. First year I was awarded John L. Scott Real Estate Rookie of the Year for my exceedingly productive office. After four years with John L. Scott I transferred to Windermere Real Estate/Northwest, Inc.
I work well under pressure and understand what it means to meet deadlines. I bring integrity and honesty to my business. My style of negotiation is “give and take” without losing sight of the big picture. I have a strong record of customer satisfaction which has resulted in much of my business culminating in customer referrals. I pride myself in educating my clients on the process of buying & selling real estate.
